Die Landfrauen haben Kuchen gebacken und der Musikverein steht in den Startl\u00f6chern, um W\u00fcrstchen zu grillen und den Getr\u00e4nkepavillon zu er\u00f6ffnen. Was nach engagierten Vorbereitungen f\u00fcr ein ganz normales Dorffest klingt, hat in Vossenack mit dem allj\u00e4hrlichen Auftritt von knapp 400 uniformierten Soldaten und Reservisten zu tun, die sich hier am 2. September 2023 zum 39. Internationalen H\u00fcrtgenwaldmarsch trafen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"39. H\u00fcrtgenwaldmarsch auf dem Sportplatz in Vossenack, wo sie vom Kommandeur des Landeskommandos NRW, Brigadegeneral Dieter Meyerhoff, herzlich begr\u00fc\u00dft wurden. Fast 500 Teilnehmer hatten sich angemeldet, die Zahl der Zivilisten war zur Freude der Organisatoren auf 100 angestiegen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beim H\u00fcrtgenwaldmarsch ging es nicht um sportliche H\u00f6chstleistungen. Offiziell wurde bei diesem Gedenkmarsch &#8211; im Gegensatz zu anderen milit\u00e4rischen Marschveranstaltungen &#8211; nicht einmal die Zeit gemessen. Zus\u00e4tzlich zu den Marschrouten wurden in diesem Jahr erstmals F\u00fchrungen durch den Eifelverein angeboten, die gut angenommen wurden und auch im n\u00e4chsten Jahr wieder fester Bestandteil des 40. Internationalen H\u00fcrtgenwaldmarsches (IHM) in Vossenack\/Eifel.&nbsp; Veranstalter waren das Landeskommando Nordrhein-Westfalen, der Reservistenverband und die Gemeinde H\u00fcrtgenwald unter der Schirmherrschaft des Landrates des Kreises D\u00fcren, Wolfgang Spelthahn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Auch wenn sich das Rahmenprogramm in den letzten Jahren ver\u00e4ndert und weiterentwickelt hat, ist der Kerngedanke \u201eDie Erinnerung an die Schlacht im H\u00fcrtgenwald wachhalten und daraus f\u00fcr Gegenwart und Zukunft lernen\u201c geblieben. Biographien der Weltkriege\u201c, \u201eJ\u00fcdisch vor Ort &#8211; 1700 Jahre j\u00fcdisches Leben im Rheinland\u201c und \u201eMilit\u00e4r und Gesellschaft in Deutschland seit 1945\u201c. Im Dorfgemeinschaftshaus wurden Vortr\u00e4ge zu historischen Orten der Region angeboten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bereits am Freitagnachmittag fand eine Kranzniederlegung am Ehrenmal der Kriegsgr\u00e4berst\u00e4tte H\u00fcrtgen statt, die vom Musikverein Vossenack begleitet wurde. Im Anschluss f\u00fchrte das Axsprungtheater am Vossenacker Gymnasium das Theaterst\u00fcck \u201eFreiheit! 1848!\u201c auf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images
